After a HOT summer pregnancy, Eva arrived on Sept 15th at 12:55 p.m. Our new baby was a whopping 9.7 lbs and 21.5 inches long. She was both an easy pregnancy and a super easy delivery. I have no idea how that is possible at 9.7 lbs, but I give the Lord all the credit since its one of those mysteries in life. Eva has been a great baby. Very alert from the start, she takes everything in around her. She gave me stretches of 5 and 6 hours of sleep from the beginning and has hit many milestones early. Of course all parents know life is not always "dandy" with a brand new baby and we have certainly hit our bumps in the road. If anyone wants to talk about acid reflux in babies, I'm your girl. I never knew the severity of that particular issue but poor Eva had it BAD! More on that later though. Tim and I love her smiles, her coos and what he calls her new "tricks." Its time to start the picture overflow, the videos as blogging can be a great "scrapbook" one day for Eva and great place for our family and friends to know what's going on at the moment. As my very wise friend April says, "I realize we may be wandering into the realm of "videos that parents find cute but everyone else politely tolerates" but I hope that you will stick with us. We will probably be extending it into the realm of pictures and posts as well. What can I say? Babies, especially your own babies, are so incredibly cute!!
