A day at the pumpkin patch

On a crisp fall day we went to the pumpkin patch near Beroun with the Davis'

There were lots of other friends who showed up, including the Hasik's

Piper: "I am having a great time, i could stay all day!"

Ian

Tim's friend Ian plays for Nymburk, which is about an hour away, but most weeks he drives to prague to come to church and hang out. Ian has his own portable electric stem machine which has come in handy this year...

Zach, Adam and Mike waiting for dinner

In the Czech Republic is the norm to have lots of slippers for guests (since you would not wear your shoes in the house), and laura gets the winnie the poo ones

Abby loves performing for everyone. This night's show is the prodigal son. The last line is the fatted pig? hmmm, sounds delicious

Baseball is catching on in Czech as a rising sport. Our friend Mike Griffin is the coach and occational player for a team in Prague. We went to the championship game recently, which mike's team won.

a congratulatory hug from Jax

One of Mike's players is an official brewmaster and they were giving away his beer at the game. If only the rest of prague knew this, there may have been 20,000 people at the game (czechs love beer). "Pivovar" means brewery

I've been allowed back in the blogging game....Laura and I recently went to our friend Lucie's place for some delicious fruit dumplings. I thought this was a great picture. Lucie is on the right with her dog Verdi.

These dumplings have plum in the middle

just add butter and powder sugar for this Czech traditional dish

Big Hiatus... We're back!!

Okay, we're officially back with our cyber updates! 3 months of neglecting our poor blog is long enough and its time to catch up from our summer and thereafter. Needless to say we have been quite busy these past 3 months. Between all of our traveling (which was a blast!), Tim's accident, moving and starting our jobs again, there has never been a dull moment.

I thought I would start with Tim's accident since that has been the most important event for us! We were on our last trip of the summer in Switzerland....

Baby Emma is here!

Before you think we've gone MIA, we have been traveling all summer, then Tim had an accident while hiking in Switzerland (more on that later) and we have been moving into our new flat sans internet (we'll be online starting tomorrow- i'm psyched). For now, though, its time to celebrate my brother, Graham, and his wife, Allie, on the birth of their baby, Emma Kate Yennie! Here's a pic of my brother and his beautiful daughter!

She was born 3 weeks early so she is really little! Her stats are: August 25th at 4:42 a.m. and weighed 4 lb, 14 oz and 16.5 inches long.

We can't wait to meet her and spoil her!
