Here are the sites and tastes from my now traditional Sunday bike ride. Several main roads are closed from 8 to 2 p.m. on Sundays and I have been taking full advantage. The bus system in Guadalajara is a crazy mess so its really tough to figure out how to get around. Bicycling is the best way to get exercise and check out the city.
They seem to love Pope JPII
An Art wall with a cow on it:
The next 3 pictures are from a main walking street in the city
Recreation Day is a great time to walk your six beagles
I road to Tlaqueparque district of Guadalajara again today
Very colorful houses on this particular street
Even the basketball hoop is colorful
This is where I stopped for some Quesadillas
Preparing my food....
The peppers, oregano, and lime must be standard condiments. The fanta i bought was pretty dirty as you can see in the picture but it was sealed so it was fine.
How much do you think I paid for these 2 huge chorizo (spicy meat) quesadillas? 7 pesos or 60 cents! And They were delicious. I will be back!
Here's another place I will need to try. This is the special Guatalajaran tortas that I posted the video on recently
Tlaqueparque Square again. I really like this square. It also has tons of little shops all around.
On my way back home.
You can see how big this avenue is that they close each Sunday. This is entering Guadalajara old town
