On Friday evening after work, a few of us went to the 1/2 marathon expo to pick up our packets and numbers for race day. It was a fun atmosphere with fast music blaring, vendors and a long line of people. I was delighted to find that along with my number, I also got a nice adidas dry fit t-shirt for race day and one of those cute little backpacks. In addition to these goodies, I also got a lot of butterflies in my stomach and "what the heck am I doing?" thoughts. Thankfully, the night was still young and my supportive friends and I had planned a "carb loading" evening together!
