Going to the ball!

As apart of his work with Athletes in Action, Tim teaches a couple of conversation English classes at the "sport" university (Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) on a weekly basis. Every year they have a "PLES" or ball for all the students. This event is more than a dance, it has shows and performances and plenty of drinks for those beer-loving Czechs. Here's a few pictures and some videos from last night:



Before the dance we went to dinner with Tim's friend Lubos and his date, along with David Kawa who is on a short term Stint with Athletes in Action

Some of these dances are actually pretty dangerous. Check out these videos of "gymnastic dancing" where these girls are getting thrown up 2 stories high and land head-first- just inches from the ground. These acrobatics are truly impressive:
