Stockholm, Sweden with Stacy!

My friend,Stacy, who teaches at Riverside, and I went to Stockholm this past week for 4 days. We really enjoyed our trip together (Stacy, I will travel with you ANYtime!) and saw a lot of the city. We didn't always have nice weather but on the last day the heavens opened up and gave us a very blue sky. We had a nice, relaxed and leisurely trip.
Thoughts about Stockholm:
1) Whoa baby, that place is cold!!
2) This is the "Canada" of Europe or maybe Canada is the "Sweden" of North America. Saw lots of moose/elk souvenirs, maple syrup and hockey items.
3) Its very nautical. Located on the water of a river and the Adriatic Sea, there are lots of islands and bridges in and around the city. Many boats docked too.

Hotel. Doesn't look like much but was very nice!

Cathedral we found on first day of sightseeing. Stayed for awhile listening to Christmas organ music.

At an outdoor museum posing on the "sheep" at a playground.

Fall colors.

Wooden reindeer.. geering up for the real thing.

Is it Dasher or Dancer?

Running around in a line.. gotta get ready for the takeoffs and landings.

Elk

Brown bear cubs. So cute!

Little otter

Spotted leopard seal

Truly on holiday, we are eating chocolate in bed.

Trying to catch the one that got away..

Really liked the vines on this building

Won't let a little rain (mixed with wind and freezing cold temps) get me down

Part of the HUGE castle (where royalty still live).

Cathedral

Ahhh! The shopping is calling my name!

We went to a hockey game while there at the Hovet.

Enjoying the game..

Where are we going? I don't know, I don't know.

City Hall

Yet another beautiful cathedral

More sights of this beautiful city

Caught it right as the sun was going down..
