After church we all piled into the Davis' van to get pizza. When I say "piled" I do mean "piled." We must have looked like a clown car with all of the people getting out. Shanna and I had to climb out of the back which took a lot of skill, I must say. I felt like a gymnast dismounting (Phil only gave me 8.5's, man he is tough). I feel like we just laughed the whole way there and home.
Owen aspires to be as tall as "Mr. Tim" one day. He's getting the feel of what that would be like by trying on Tim's coat. I love it that Owen's parents persuade him to eat his veggies by saying, "You won't be as tall as Mr. Tim if you don't eat ____."
Some church friends came out to Tim's game and then to dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant in Prague.
The Italian restaurant is really neat. Since I studied abroad in Italy I truly appreciate an authentic Italian meal. The owner (sweet, little Italian man) has always greeted me when I walk in the door, which goes something like this:
Me: Dobry Den! (Czech for hello)
-Silence_
Me: Hello.
-Silence-
Think, think, think... (have to switch from one language to another)..what is Italian for hello..
Me: Buona Sera! (Good evening)
Little Italian Man: Buona Sera!!
Then he leads whatever group I'm with downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs is a wall covered with picture frames. The pictures all have the little Italian Man and.... Matt Damon or Sean Conery or Morgan Freeman or Vin Diesel or... the list goes on. All of the pictures are taken at the restaurant. We never know who might show up when we are there!
