Our church, Faith Community, put on a women's retreat last weekend! It was fun to get out of Prague for a couple of days and go to Cesky Krumlov, a beautiful Unesco Heritage city in the south. Faith Community's sister church, Uptown, in Charlotte, NC sent 5 women to run the retreat. They were a breath of fresh air! It was so good to be around fun, sweet ladies from the South! Connice Dyar, pictured below, was our speaker. She talked about "Finding joy in the life you didn't expect." Pretty good theme considering most of us did not expect to be living in Prague!

We had free time on Saturday afternoon so a lot of the ladies went rafting!

I drove to Cesky Krumlov with these girls. We are all teachers at Riverside and left right after work. We had a great time in the car, hanging out, talking and singing songs at the top of our lungs.
What a great weekend to truly "retreat"- relax, get away, meet new people, get into small groups and hear a much needed message about God's sovereignty!
