Keukenhof (the park in Holland opened during tulip season)
The main reason for going to Amsterdam during our April holiday was to see the tulips! A park outside of the city, the Keukenhof, is the best way to see these flowers plus dozens more in one place. We were so excited and once there we knew we had to explore every inch of it! So I went a little flower-happy in these pictures. Enjoy!
This is how Stacy and I spent the day- digital macro function on our canon's:

Parts of the park had enclosed greenhouse/atrium areas. We saw every color under the sun here!

This is what digital macro can do, it was so much fun!

Windmill!
Biggest clog I've ever seen:

Prize-winning orchids:

The field of tulips (the reason why I went on this trip)!
Surprisingly this field is not really there just for looks. The tulips get packaged and sent off to places like NYC and arrive the next day.
Too big for me but maybe not for Tim:

Nothing beats red tulips. They are just so pretty!

This daffodil pic is for my mom:

Out of all the flowers in the park these orangy/pinkish tulips were my absolute favorite:

"El Nino" tulips.. just beautiful!
