X-mas card, 2004
When I was in the 6th grade my brother, sister and I began to beg our parents for a dog. One night my dad was getting in his car after work and this little puppy emerged from underneath the car and jumped into the car with him. "Well, guess you are coming home, too, " he said. So that night this little puppy just burst into my room. I was so excited! And that was how Addy came to be in our family.
Some fun facts about Addy:
*Addy was a mutt: part German shorthair pointer and hmmm?
*She has lived in 3 states- Ohio, Virginia and most recently, South Carolina.
*Her favorite things were chasing squirrels, chasing ducks and going to the boat.
*She was a pretty sweet hunter. Supposedly a bird dog she has gunned down rabbits, groundhogs and a deer.
*She loved my dad the most (I think it was a daddy's girl thing).
*She has been known to eat a whole birthday cake.
Although Addy was getting up there in age, ultimately she had a tumor in her stomach. Yesterday my parents and my sister had her put down. Poor Addy! Will will miss her!
