My babydoll
My sweet sweet girl is 9 months old today! 9 whole months. For as long as I was pregnant she has now been out in the real world learning about life. We love her so so much and cannot imagine life without her. She is what Tim calls "my real live babydoll" since I enjoy playing dress up with her. Beyond a cute romper and a matching hair bow, she is one of the happiest babies I've ever met. She literally smiles all day long. She just started scrunching up her eyes when she smiles to show us that she's trying to be "cute." I put her in grocery carts and she says, dadada or nanana the entire time we shop while blowing raspberries and squealing. She loves to jump in the jumperoo and play with toys that light up. She is good at entertaining herself but ultimately loves interaction with people. After bathtime and before bedtime she has this window of about 20 minutes where she goes wild on the bed. She laughs at everything and is now starting to tumble and crawl. Its my favorite time of day. Tim and I love it. She loves water and has recently discovered the pool. She's adventurous and is not afraid to take risks. I can dunk her under and she doesn't mind. No tears, no smile means she's studying and taking it all in. She likes to dance. When she hears music she moves back and forth. She's still afraid of the church nursery. Everything goes into the mouth. She just started standing up by herself. She still snuggles with me, still fights naps. Loves puffs..a lot. Is starting to think pureed baby food is..for babies. Loves looking at the baby in the mirror. Enjoys books. Wakes up happy everyday. Gets comments on her eyes all of the time. Loves other children and babies. Doesn't want to miss anything, likes being "in the action." Is always a size up in clothes. Has outgrown her shoes that fit 9-18mo olds. Has the cutest little profile. Loves dogs and laughs at their fluffy tails. Has never slept in a real crib (that will change in August!). Is pretty adaptable and flexible. Will have lived in 8 different places by the time she turns 1. Already has a stamp in her passport. Never pulls her hair accessories out. My dad calls her bright eyes. She loves outings. Loves her mommy. Her mommy loves her. Has always been so full of life and extremely resilient. Has the biggest cheeks that hang over her jaw. I kiss them a lot, multiple times per day. And there she is- just woke up from a nap. She's currently talking in her bed and squealing with delight. I need to go and get her. Those cheeks need to be kissed.
